Tamiya Pinion Gearbox Cover

Hey guys anyone know how I can get a pinion cover for my gearbox on my Monster Beetle? Any ideas of a good substitute? Lost mine unfortunately.

I was also wondering about this recently. Is there an alternative to having to buy the whole rere Frog/Brat C parts at over £10 just for the pinion cover?

If you have some thick clear plastic and a way to cut it (dremel) then you can make a clear cover so you can also see your pinior to spur gear mesh. You may have to play with the fit to make sure it keeps out dust. Also some times eBay has OEM or after market.

i made 2 off them for my twin diffed hornet .. i cut them out of a piece of flat plastic , they were diamond shaped and sealed well and worked ok .. then i bought a box of bits and piece and lo and behold ..it had 2 of them in the bits ! .. i couldnt justifiy buy 2 lots on diff halve to get them ..hornet , grasshopper , frog and the like have them ..
