I think I'll be getting a Rising Fighter off my wife (the £99 offer that was on at Goldstar Stockists was just too good to pass up) which I'm looking forward to building.

I was after either an Ansmann Mad Rat, but as this will only be my second kit it may have been a little bit tricky to build, or a Hornet. However the Hornet with a similiar deal was I think about £50 more for what is essentially the same car.

Can't wait as I really enjoyed building and using my Lunchbox a couple of years back. An added bonus is my kids are getting to an age where they will be able to use them too.

Think I may treat myself to a Mad Rat for my birthday later in the year but Tamiya's are just so tempting to my nostalic side and I know that the instructions will be easy to follow.

HK450GT from missus, it's sitting there on the dining room table but I'm not allowed to build it :) I must suffer :)

Seems strange not to get a Tamiya for an xmas/bday, so may have to buy one myself hehe ;)

I could use a new dressing gown ....

The Mad Rat isn't a difficult build, it's just way tedious ... the only variation comes from the different lengths of the huge number of countersunk screws you have to drive in - the only thing that kept me awake was incredulity at how Ansmann hadn't got sued by Associated :)

I told told everyone to get me something with Tamiya on it this year with a price range form a $2 tub of of paint to a $1000 model I might just get something useful this year. :)

I'm awaiting the Team Durango DEX210 release. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the cars I have, I have to finish up my Monster Truck (I'm thinking of the name TLT-02, Clod Buster Jr. or Clod Buster Mk.II - it's based on a TLT-1 and sized up to 1/12th scale), and I want to get my Dyna running again, this time with different road tires and modern universal shafts and uprights on the rear! :) And I still need to get a a reply of Nimrod Racing for their Carbon rear wheels...

So Christmas here will mean: Paint, Decals, Tires and Wheels, Phone calls, and sitting inside working on my cars - No new kits planned - but when something turns up that I really like - who knows what might happen!

I have built both the mad rat and the macnum.

Nicely designed kits, and for 50 quid - excellent value for money!

As for what I am getting off santa? I really don't know. Just looking forward to having 2 weeks off work!

My family haven't got me any tamiyas, so with my bonus from work I've bought a RERELEASE Rough Rider! Got it for £209 with free delivery (includes esc) which I thought was cheap!

Parents are getting me a Mardave V12.

I'm tempted to buy myself either a M04L Beetle, or a CC01 of some flavour or another, or I might go completely mad and get a CR01 Bronco.

Finally getting round to acquiring the Boomerang re-release, courtesy of my g/f, as they are coming down in price. Seems like retailers are struggling to offload them which is a shame as it was actually the most technically accomplished version of the Hotshot chassis.

No RC from my girlfriend this year as we're trying to save money - so I've dug my NIB (well, painted the body 2 years ago) Pajero Metaltop out of the loft and will treat myself to the chassis build and body detailing over christmas!

It's nice to have a few NIB kits in the loft for just such an occasion, it's perched on a shelf in my study - every time I walk in the room it's like walking into a toyshop and I'm back in Beatties in the '80s!

I'm just trawling EBay for that 'Oh and if you're stuck for something for me for christmas love, I've got myself this that you can wrap from you and the kids' present.

Beats ending up with socks and pants, lol.

Well, I just gave my GF "the" ring, so hopefully my Christmas is merry as all badword. Unfortunately no Tamiya on my list (I buy tamiya stuff for myself ALL the time :) ) But I did give her a very descriptive list, complete with pics and pricings : Losi Micro SCT truck, Syma s107 chopper.
