I think a lot of us buy an r/c model of our dream cars, yes?

Does anyone have a r/c and a 1:1 of the same? Or did anyone have an r/c then buy a 1:1 of their r/c?

(Sorry if this is the wrong section for this topic!)

I have a 1:1 Mitsubishi Pajero GLS NH and the Tamiya Pajero CC01 (which is also a NH). My 1:1 is the LWB however. I do have plans to cut up 2 body shells to make a 1:10 replica of my real Pajero.

I also have a 1:10 Ford Escort Mk1 and a 1:1 1978 Ford Escort BC 2 door. Again not quite the same model, but as close as I could get.

That's awesome Ta-Mark! I remember seeing pictures of a Pajero on here, which you might have posted.

I had a Toyota pick-up, a 1991, which rusted to nothing, engine was fine though. :( Salty roads over here eat the trucks up! The 1:10 Hilux I have, kind of reminds me of it, and one of the reasons I like the hilux so much.

Hope to get a 1:1 Japanese sport car some day!

I just watched an UK documentary on the Nissan Skyline. Got my dreaming of a 1:1 to go with my 1:10!!

Yup, Mx5 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...651&id=1470

Not got the real one any longer, but had thousands spent, turbo, programmable ECU, shocks, full turbo exhaust, all Flyin Miata bits.

Last dyno was around 210Bhp, had potential for around 250-260Bhp if i spent time tuning, but never got round to it, but 210Bhp turno in a Mx-5 is quite rapid.

Had about 6.1 seconds 0-60 when it was running a poorly fuelled system, so i estimate probably mid to late 5 seconds 0-60 when i sold it.

Strangely I got back in to the hobby a couple of years ago as a means of owning a VW Baja Bug, through not really having the space tor restore a 1:1.

Of the 17 RC cars I have, 7 have beetle bodies. Additionally there's a '70 Hemi Cuda, a Toyota Hilux, an Audi Quattro and a 1973 Ford Anglia.

So yeah, my choice of RC's has definitely been influenced by the 1:1 cars I love.

That's a very nice classic scoob mate!

This is my old RB5

after1.jpg

Fairly standard apart from exhaust, filter etc

Can't believe Tamiya didn't make a 1/10 version of the classic Impreza shell (without the 22b/WRC type flared arches)

The Monster Beetle and Wild Willy definately influenced my decision to get a 1:1 Beetle (4 over time actually) and a Jeep.

The wife used to have a Scooby, 99 reg, Type R, same colour as the grey.

love the RB5 wez! whenever i read a copy of EVO or similar they always give them big raps, as one of their fave variants. man you shoulda kept that one! haha. i gues my dream car is actually a 22B, but hens teeth are more common herein australia. when they do pop up for sale, they are approx 80 to 100k $AU

I loved my old RB5, it made way for a Evo8 in the end (Tamiya never made a shell for this either)

So who's gonna be first to say they have a 1:1 clod lol

Amazing cars!

That one looks identical to my first GT-four, they look superb in black but shuch a pain in the butt to clean.

Yep, they are hard to keep clean, especially when you fit white OZ alloys like I did lol

*whistles* Nice rides you guys! Nice to see so many performance cars!

I have an '06 Lotus Exige. Although Tamiya doesn't make a kit for these (Wish they would!), I found a Hitari RC that matches very closely!

Cheers,

I have a white 91 Miata with a hardtop which is identical to my M-04M Eunos Roadster. The 1:1 car came first but the M-04 is what got me back into RC.

In my case I bought the Tamiya model because I owned the real thing. When I saw tamiya was releasing the Cobra and Lightning I was very excited! I have owed a few mustangs (different body styles then the 95 Cobra R) and 3 lightnings.

Here's my 1:1 Lightning and 1/10 RC Car.
