Guest Greg67 Posted December 16, 2010 Figured to start a thread where people can show off their favorite shells or bodies. Cars, trucks, etc. Can be your own or someone else's. Something that inspires you, or something you want. I think there are so many talented modelers out there. Found this on RcDrift.Nl's website: A 240zx if I remember right. I think it is very well done.
Gruntfuggly 562 Posted December 16, 2010 Woah! I thought I was looking at a 1:1 car till I realised it was on a flippin' table! I think it's the windows that fooled me... nice pic.

Skottoman 306 Posted December 16, 2010 I'm a big fan of Porsche shells. Had a Tamiya 996 GT3 shell (2005), HPI 911 Turbo shell(2008), and now this is my 2nd Tamiya 997 Porsche GT3 shell. I also have the vintage 1973 cup racer shell waiting to go on an M06 chassis. I guess you could say I like Porsche shells. Cheers, Skottoman

tonysmini 19 Posted December 16, 2010 For me it's WRC rally cars, the old classics such as Ford Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts, Mini's, Audi S1's, Lancias in their various guises, Pug T16's etc, plus the more up to date stuff like the Scoobies, Evo's and Focus, but there are a few missing that I'd love to get my hands on. Who's up for the Scooby Legacy RS (Rothmans colours), Colin Mcrae's Skoda Fabia (a limited run body only available from Skoda dealers a few years ago) a decent Citroen Xsara WRC (Come on Santa, I've dropped the wife enough hints). If only I could find someone who imports the crazy bodies from the guys in the Czec Republic, I love watching their RC Rallies and drool over the cars. (better that than me watching mucky movies I tell the wife) Tony

Sayer 742 Posted December 17, 2010 OMG I think I'm in love what a sweet looking car. Too bad I heard it was a major pain to build The Cup racer? Not really. There are a couple fiddly parts to the build but not enough to be considered a "major pain"
Skottoman 306 Posted December 17, 2010 Striker01, Looks pretty advanced to me too! , I wonder if the front metal bumper is painted from the inside or not? That part looks complicated. The Cup Racer kits come with chrome plated bumpers/mirrors/wipers. Very nice kits for sure. Cheers, Skottoman.

Guest Greg67 Posted December 17, 2010 Yes, they look so professional those kits. Almost looks like a diecast car with all the parts on it. Striker, we'll have to put one of those shells on our to do list. The quality of them is very impressive looking. Nice to see them. Thanks for the info guys!
