Hey everyone,

A couple of weeks ago me and a bunch of fellow owners and enthusiasts of Tamiya's 10th R/C anniversary buggy, decided to open up a Special Interest group to celebrate the BIGWIG. It's a place to share your pictures, stories, and information about this spectacular R/C car. So if you have one (or more) examples of the BIGWIG, feel free to join us there and link your cars. All the BIGWIG owners & enthusiasts are welcome there!

Here's the link:
BIGWIG S.I.G.

Oh, and Merry Christmas to you all, fellow TCers! :)

Well... almost three years passed by and our SIG has now 55 owners & enthusiasts of Tamiya's ''decade'' anniversary buggy! :)

Just wanted to say HI to all the BIG WIG lovers here and, of course, I also wanted to invite you all to join and participate of our Big Wig Special Interest Group! ;)

Here's some pics of the real buggies that raced Pikes Peak back in the 80's:

Yep sure would join in.

What do I have to do?

Cheers

Hi Mark. Unfortunately this feature is only open for members, but if you ever decide to join the main TC I'll make sure to invite you to join our BIG WIG S.I.G.!

BTW, I see you're in Brisbane. Isn't that the homeland of the BeeGees?

Have a good one! ;)

That's excellent news, Mark. Hope to see you there, and if you run your Big Wig then it would be awesome if you could share with ussome pics of it running! ;)

Oh sorry just asked my partner about the Bee Gees and you are right they lived at Red Cliff just 30 mins from us.

Gee just a small world hey.

I have posted my Big wig up here a while ago with the mods done too it. The Towers, Hub Carriers , Exhaust tips were all chromed to give a better look which came from Jak Rizzo's awesome Big Wig & contact who does the chroming .

I do run it on big events at our Boondal vintage track now & again . Just love it . Drives so much different to any of my Shots .

Will share all mods & info in the Big Wig Owners Club once I join up.

Cheers

Mark

The Bee Gees were born on the Isle of Man, England they then moved to Manchester, England and then onto Australia. My mother was a fan.

HI!... Cool, I have 3 BigWigs currently and enough parts to make 3 more when I get around to it.

1st is all original. I just have to paint the body.

Impressive custom aluminum work!

Gotta love the looks of a Big Wig with the proper Tamiya 8,4v battery in!

Great cars! TAMIYA'S LEGENDARY 10th ANNIVERSARY 4wd BUGGY!!

Fellas, I'm after a Bigwig if anyone fancies selling one. Sold a new built one earlier this year, so regret it now :-(

See my post in wanted section on home page, thanks.

Too bad you let such a legend go! :(

I can see a couple of BigWigs on eBay.co.uk as I write.

Best of luck with the search, be sure to share with us some pictures of your car when you find one ;)

For some reason I am not receiving the requests to join our group in my e-mail anymore; I have to check the group to find out if there are TCers that would like to join the SIG.

Anyway, if you're a member of the main TC page and you own one -or many- of these incredible buggies, and feel like joining our BIGWIG Owners & Enthusiasts S.I.G. just let me know and I'll be more than happy to link you to it.

You all have a good Wednesday! :)

Hey Erich - I just saw this post from you and checked if anyone was awaiting approval on the Madhatters SIG. You were right! Someone was waiting and I didn't get an email either. Will check it periodically from now on - don't want any grumpy negative Yelp reviews (the service was terrible!)... :P

Hi there beefmuffin! :) If you can report the problem with TWINSET, as this goes as no complain-no problem.

Nice try Huckleberry - this is your fence, YOU paint it! (unless you need help, then I will paint it too) B)

LOL! Paint is all cracked and almost gone. It'll probably stay like that
