I have recently bought a TT-01 Type E and i installed a RS540 Sports Tuned motor. I now cant get any grip on the tyres and it just slides everywhere, how can i improve this?

Would upgrading the steering help or like change the gear ratio. its either got no power or too much.

Would try some tamiya super slick Reyes on it. If you havent already put some oil shocks on the car. Put a wanted on the main site for the parts/tyres you need I sure some one can help you out.

What surface are you on? If you're not bothered about the scale looks then try a set of racing wheels/tyres designer for 1/10 touring. Oil shocks and adjustable camber arms are something to think about too.

road surface, not perfectly smooth but no loose gravel.

HPI X-Pattern radials with foam inserts will help greatly. The kit "radial" tires are meant for scale looks and are total rubbish for running. The kit also doesn't include foams which help the tires grip and to wear evenly [or at least better].

There are other tread patterns, but I am a huge fan of HPI because they look good, grip well [even fantastically when compared to the kit tires, but less than some racing slicks which don't look realistic at all ... ] and last pretty long under the kind of use you describe - outside on the street?
