Hi Guys

Just to say this is a great forum I picked up a load of tips priot to taking the plunge and getting my 2 sons a sand viper and a second hand df02 for me. So far only the df02 has been out as the conditions have been snow followed by very wet and the vipers just look too new.

A quick question i'd really appreciate some advice on is regarding general maintenance as follows, The DF02 has been out in snow slush very wet and muddy conditions and is great but what do i need to do to keep it in good order. When i used to race 25 years ago we were always spraying with wd40 etc etc - what do i need to do after a good soaking??

ideas appreciated - cant wait to get all 3 out!

sorry guys - ive just scrolled down and seen percymons post which provides some great advice

what happens if you simply let it dry and then wipe off the worst and then just get bashing again - will it rust or seize up?

As per the answers to my post, clean out the plastic areas to whatever level of cleanliness you want. Keep water away from electrics and do toughest to protect them on the next outing. As I discovered the df02 is a pretty open chassis that can let a lot of debris in comparedto something a bit more envlosed like the grasshopper. Periodic lubrication of exposed bearings with 3 in 1 oil will help prolong their life.
