I saw a beautiful mint condition, jet black real version of this a few weeks ago driving around on the ice in Montana during the middle of -20 degree cold snap. I couldn't believe my eyes. They were never very plentiful in the western US and I remember seeing them back in the day occasionally, but I never thought to see one in Montana, and certainly not in such filthy weather. Hope that guy made it home safe and sound.

These were called Mitsubishi Conquest (in the US) when I was a kid. I took one out racing. Me in my built-like-lego Subaru DL wagon (no 4wd even!) vs. a TSI edition Conquest. Not saying he couldn't have been faster, but there's no accounting for crazy moves!
