OK then Ladies and Gentlemen, the time has come. My wagon is loaded, my cars are fettled, cameras are charged, nothing left to do. I have even boxed up some bits n bobs to trade if anyone wishes to.

Really looking forward to it, the weather forecast is ok, the site should be great, the selection of cars looks insane, and the day is ours.

Hi guys. Been really busy recently so had no time for rc but hope to come along tomorrow, catch up with a few people Will try to bring a couple of runners but most are packed up due to a garage rebuild.

I've got everything boxed up now. All batteries fully charged today, hopefully the NiMHs won't lose too much power overnight but at least I'll get some runtime out of the two LiPos.

Had a bit of a disaster with the Bear Hawk, tried to adjust the front suspension and the towers disintegrated in my hands Have made some bodging repairs but will have to replace the shock tower soon.

For running, I've got my Brat Scorcher, my Bear Hawk and my Wildman scale truck, and purely for show I've got a tourer that's been half-finished for ages but finally got properly finished today. If I get loaded up early I might come back up to the flat to grab two more scalers.

Just replaced the windscreen and body mounts on the VBL, just found holes in the body (not the ones for the body mounts!) and forgot how little there is to it.

Excellent to meet you all, in the flesh as it were. Great location, very lucky with the weather, and some absolutely superb bashing on the beach! Will sort another soon.

Thanks everyone, its been a very pleasurable day, my son and I both have enjoyed it very much indeed.

Awesome day, and thanks again to all who made it along. Was great to see some fantastic action - from the oldskool SRBs carving it up on the sand track, to Badger's amazing 22volt E-Maxx with its exploding tyres and a handful of nitros to disturb the peace as well. And I seriously can't believe how much better Badger's Buggy Champ handles on sand compared to my Beetle-Brat!!

Was gutted that the Bear Hawk snapped a hub in the first few minutes of the day, because it was handling seriously sweet before it put itself out of action. Will get it properly sorted (possibly with more custom suspension mods) before the next beach meet.

I took a load of photos but unfortunately I think my DSLR needs a service, none of them came out very well. I'll get the best ones uploaded but the majority are badly out of focus. Didn't get any video either as none of my old vidcameras are working, probably time they were consigned to the bin

Can't wait for the next bash, looking forward to seeing you all again soon

We had 57 cars of all varieties, of which about 45-50 were run. And I gues 15-20 people.

It was a great days bashing and has left me with lots of ideas for the next one, a weekender!

What better way to spend a sunday, and we were so lucky with the weather, it rained the day before and the day after, but was fair for us on Sunday.

Apart from a couple of folks we all travelled for an hour or more in all directions to get there. Worth picking something up and joining in sometime, its a blast, and always worth teh effort.

Well I've spent the weekend cleaning all the cars I used at Brean and have decided that i now have more than enough sand in my conservatory to have another bash in there. Seriously how much sand can a few buggies bring home?? Still it was worth it and I'm looking forward to the next one soon. Cant remember the name of the chap who had the big 1/6th scale beetle and his lad as I know he took loads of video and wouldnt mind seeing some of it so can anyone else remember his name and his TC id?

Last week I found quite a good location in Aztec West, Bristol (just off the M5), although not that big so not suited to anything too fast but has grippy tarmac and very quiet on a Sunday. There are loads of car parks on this business park so I imagine there are a few good spots.

Hows about we head upto Weston (Brean Sands) again either this weekend or next? Both are good for me, Saturday or Sunday.

I am also going to hit Hamhill this week if anyone fancies an evening bash.
