Guys

Having heard great things of this, I'd like to buy some to strip a few shells. Does anyone know of a high street / DIY chain that stock it, as I'd rather avoid P&P charges from Screwfix.

Cheers,

P

Not 100% but may be worth a try

They have the safety data sheet on line so maybe they sell in store?

heres some of my restoration's using the De-solv-it Graffiti Remover. They worked well on the older cars, only took half an hour to strip the renault 5 and golf and about the same for the countach,BUT be careful as i tried to use some on a body that was a few years old and made a right mess.i eventually cleared it off but cloudied the bodyshell,so resprayed and used as a basher. So try a small amount first and dont leave it to long.i did small amounts at a time.

Just go buy it at the trade counter, there's bound to be a branch near you and it's just like buying from Argos.

Tried De-Solv-It Graffiti Remover on an old bodyshell, shifted the paint but also the body went cloudy and ruined the body.

I have yet to find anything apart from nitro fuel that will remove paint without doing short or long term damage to a lexan body.

Hi

Just to add my 2p, I got some of the spray from B&Q this evening.

Just tried it on a old wing I had, didn't seem to cloud it, and after 5 minutes the paint was gone with the lightest or wipes with a tissue. Also tried it on an old drivers head from my Sonic Fighter, paint was coming off as I sprayed it on And the plastic is still solid

Amazing.

And on the spray it does say "Polycarbonate Safe"

It's marked as De-Solv-It Graffiti Clean Up. I found it in the cleaning goods aisle with things like floor cleaner etc, not with the white spirit where I thought it would be!

Cheers,

Dave
