I've had a clod for about two years now, bought it on ebay but it was missing all the steering linkage and speed control and motors. The body was cut up but it came with a new decal sheet, I had a new clod body that I bought about 9 years ago just sitting. I painted the body and added the decals and it sat for the last year or so. I figured out by the time I buy the speed control, linkage and stock motors I would be better off buying another clod. So I finally bought another clod from ebay, its a bowtie clod. The pictures made it look better than it really was, when I got it I was disappointed to see the paint was bad. This was a early clod with bowtie grill, chevrolet tail gate and decals. The chassis was complete but dirty/dusty from sitting around. I stripped the chassis and cleaned everything and reassembled it. This clod was never really used, the gears were clean, no grease, the axles and stub shafts are so clean they are still black... no wear at all. No scratches on the axle cases or chassis. Besides the body this things is almost perfect. So I took my new built body with original decals and put on this complete chassis for my nice clod shelf queen. If I ever come across early clod decals with the chevrolet on the side I will stripped and repaint the body that came with it. In the mean time here are a few pics.
