Hi guys, i need some advise!

I bought a clash 21t, but decided to take it out whilst i try out the silvercan with the 8.4v.

However i put it down in a pile of iron fierlings(wire wall) and it all went in the can, obviously because of the magnets.

How silly was that then? LOL

I have water dipped it about 10 times and most of it is out now, but most is still in there.

Any reccomendations on how to get it out, its a new motor you see, and my last one as my silvercan is giving up slowely.

thanks

If you heat it right up it will demagnatise then you'll just be able to shake the filings out...

There are however a few problems:

  • You'll need to heat it to well over 400C, possibly 700C
  • Everything else will melt
  • You may not be able to re-magnatise it

But it's a funny story, lucky it was only a silver can!

Edit: Oops, I see it's not a silver can... is it rebuildable?

Can you not open the can ? - generally not much more than a few folded metal tabs hold them together .

Failing that find a nice strong magnetic field to pull the filings from your motor !!
