Sorry if this is a repost. I tried last night, but ran into a problem, so I'm trying again...

What Tamiya RC car do you dislike the most? What car do you think they should not have bothered making due to bad performance, unreliablity, bad looks or anything else?

In my limited collection, I vote for the Sonic Fighter.

I like the fact that it has a hard plastic body and a driver figure. The chassis, which is also part, of the body is pretty cool too.

However, I think it fails in 3 areas:

Styling: A fighter jet off-road RC car? What?

Drivetrain: Uses the same breakable and loose dogbone system as the Falcon.

Ease of use: To charge the 6-cell non-hump battery, you need to open the battery compartment, remove the battery from the car and then fish the connector out of a little compartment.

Out of 8 cars in the Tamiyaclub showroom, 3 people seem to be embarassed to own a Sonic Fighter. I like mine, because I feel sorry for it.

I have to agree with the sonic fighter, I never did care much for the body or with replacing parts all the time. Also would have to say one of my favorite cars Tamiya ever made the Frog. After the millionth time you replaced gears and half shafts, it would get very frustrating. Still like it though, and spent alot of money on ebay to have another one again.

I hate the fighter buggy, nasty... Then again i generally dislike all plastic chassis models (what i have seen so far anyway) Get what you pay for i suppose.

It was my first car - I love it... [:D] I'll ever sell this one (because I wont get more than €5 for it anyway [:I] )

Even if you like a Sonic Fighter more than a Sand Scorcher I wouldn't care. It's your opinion after all. And you can always give me your Sand Scorcher if you like Sonic Foghters more... [;)] [:o)]

I have to agree with Theo, the Striker is just plain nasty. Sonic Fighter is not far behind though. Mechanically crappy and terribly ugly. No redeeming features that I can think of, unless you count the amusing way the whole front end breaks off in a nsty accident [;)]

Let me chime in and vote for the Bear Hawk. My 5year has already grown tried of it and wanted to drive the King cab. I have to agree with him. It has a low ground clearance. Too low for a buggy. The front tires are about as ineffective during high speed turns. Secondly, I'll have to say the Falcon. My god those dog-bones ugh!!!

The sonic fighter and striker were cheap cars though, must stick up for them a bit seeing as i have them aswell [;)] LOL

But i do agree they are nothing special, but i do like hard bodies.

I could mention a few cars though that i really dislike aspects of (mainly accesability, but that would open up a can of worms, and i don't go fishing anymore.

Bear Hawk...

I just bought and restored that... I feel pretty gutted now that I got it... [xx(] But it does look very fancy in it's green/yellow paint job! [:D] (pics in the showroom and on my site later)

Well, I't will probably handle better with CVA shocks from a Super Hornet in stead of 'friction' on it! Yes, I got the SH too... [:(] Why did I buy that useless **** anyway? Well, the Mini and the HotShot1 were pretty nice and in the same buy, probably worth the money after all. [^]

I think the Super Hornet is one pretty piece **** engineering by Tamiya. Though the CVA shocks are good, the rest of the suspension is SOO crappy I can even bother about it anymore. Well, it HAD oil shocks... [;)] Maybe i can drive it on railroad track as the rear tires are missing! [:o)]
