Hello,

I was very interested in the release of the Avante, but why is it so expensive. About 450 $. Is it really worth it? I don't think it is so much limited.

The car was expensive back in it's day partially due to it's overcomplicated structure. They updated many parts for this release, which makes it one of the more expensive re-releases in terms of development I guess.

Whether it's worth the money is entirely up to you - it's a lot of money, and it's indeed not listed as a limited release, but note that many 'limited' releases actually come in pretty big numbers as well, being limited to crank up the price and the demand for them is a good reason to do this - if the demand seems to drop they can decide not to produce a new batch and the car will thereby be discontinued - and in fact a 'limited' label can be put on practically any product, as nothing has an eternal production lifespan.

And in the end, it's not the 'limited' label that should be the main reason to buy a car (imo) - The one you'll have is yours, making it special to you - anyone else sharing your excitement about your car is nice, but not necessary to like the car - and you can always make it stand out from the crowd to make it more special :P

It's a very complex car to build, and the engineering that has gone into it with all the rose joints and machined parts is remarkable. It's a very nice looking car, and fun to build. If that floats your boat, or if you lusted after one as a kid, then it's worth it.

If you're after a modern track racer, this isn't it. It's too heavy with not enough suspension travel. A TRF511 or TRF502X is in the same ballpark and is a much better choice for racing.
