Motor connection

Hi everyone another question from a newbie,

i got the Rooster ESC from Novak, the crawler version.

The motor cables do not have any bullet connectors and they should be weld directly on the motor.

Is that a must or i can choose any other type of connector?

For example instead of a bullet connector can i use Deans connectors?

sure you can use deans, lots of guys do.

you can fit deans if you like, i use 3.5mm correlly type connectors.

Or use power poles - no exposed connectors...

It's another kind of connector. Not so popular now as it was 5-10 years ago. Deans is as close to a standard as you will find now if you want concealed contacts.

Personally I would solder direct to the motor as it is not a part you often replace.
