Putting together my 2010 Sand Scorcher gearbox with ball diff.....tighten up all the gearbox screws, and the driveshafts stop moving!

Back off the three screws a tiny bit around the diff and the axles move freely.

Has anyone else had this problem? What was it?

Yeah, I had the same problem. Turned out I hadn't assembled the diff quite right. It felt ok when I turned it by hand but had the same prob as you when fitted in the gearbox. Strip the diff and make sure the small disk springs align properly in the 'Diff inner' piece. If they're not seated right you end up with a 'fat' diff. It took me a few attempts to get it right!!

Still no good!!

The 4mm springs are sitting where they're supposed to, but the diff is still tight when it's put in!

This is doing my head in.....surely I'm not that silly!!!

What's wrong with this thing!!!!
