Hi all.

I have just fitted the third shock mod to my Lunchbox but I am looking to also upgrade the 4 standard shocks. Any ideas on some shocks that would fit?

I have the standard brackets (4) to fit them to the chassis, I was going to go fir the standard yellow CVA shocks but wondered if there were any after Market ones out there that sine of you may have used/recommend. The l box is going to be run on a mixture if Tarmac and grass (local park)

Regards

Steve :)

Hi, if you search on ebay for ansmann dampers, these are alot cheaper and better than tamiya's

they come in different lengths, 55,65,75,85,95mm...

just measure the hole centre's

hope this helps

Hi

Thanks for that I will have a look. The tamiya ones are good, but at £40 a set..... Too much for this project! Ansmann is a good shout.

Yep Ansmann are the way to go I used them on my Lunchbox build and they perform happily Some people don't like them and some do, but if your happy with them go for it

The Ansmann dampers are hard to beat on price. I fitted them on my Lunchbox but found the rear sprigs to be too hard, Lunchbox was cocking a rear wheel far too easily. I used the stock lunchbox springs on the Ansmann dampers, problem solved.

I got great results with the Yeah Racing dampers on my Lunchy, and they're a bit more adjustable than the Ansmann ones. 80mm I think is what you should be looking for (or 75mm in Ansmann lengths).

You also get two different strengths of spring provided, although you have to buy your own shock oil for them.
