Im struggling to find the correct springs for the hi-caps on the top force evo. From what I have read the "53054 Short Hi-Cap Damper Spring Set" would do for the fronts and rears but these are hard to come by.

Anyone know of a spring similar/same in length and coils of the top force evo fronts and rears? mantaray maybe?

thanks

The mantaray and TF springs will not work because of their different diameter, Ive tried. Yes the springs by themself are hard ot get, purchase the entire set as I did from Ebay.

Try looking into springs from HPI i can't remember if the team associated springs fit the diameter the hi caps diameter is quite large compared to the stock CVA tamiya made.

if the HPI or traxxas spings have the right diameter or just enough that you could bend the ends a little you will benefit from newer style progressive spring sets.

i have to look at some hopup tamiya spring sets i have from a few different ta02 and ta03 chassis i have i know i have a long set of tamiya color coded progressive springs in medium length.

Thanks guys, no I want the exact same springs, I have others that will fit but I thought maybe some other tamiya model shared the springs. I cant get the hi-cap short spring set, only seen 1 on ebay in the last 4 months and that sold straight away!

The TF Evo Ft & Rr springs are unique to that model. The only way to get them, is to find the TF Evo Damper Bag (Part number 9405755). Unfortunatley Tamiya never gave the springs they own 7 Digit part number, so they couldn't be ordered on there own.

The 53054 Short Hi-Cap Damper Spring Set and 53053 Mini Hi-Cap Damper Spring Set, these two sets use square wire for the springs. They are different from TF Evo kit springs.

interesting i never noticed the springs used square wire on the hi cap spring set.

Did the Evolution kit come with more then one set of springs? I never had the car in kit form, i was the second owner.

Nope, one set in the kit only. And I can verify the comments above, only place to get the kit springs is with the kit part bag.
