Hello all,

My name is mark and I am the Public Relations Officer for the BRCA 1/12th Circuit Class. I've come on here because I thought some of you guys might be interested in the following announcement;

The BRCA are pleased to announce the inaugural running of a British National Championship for 1/10th scale Formula 1 and GT10 pan cars during the summer of 2011!

A 3-round series has been agreed, with events spread across England as follows;

Sunday 8th May - Ardent Raceway, Derbyshire

Sunday 3rd July - Maritime Raceway, Kent

Sunday 4th September - Teesside Radio Car Club, Teesside

The aims of the series are;

To provide regular club racers with a recognised BRCA national championship to compete in

To support and bolster club level racing of F1 and GT10 cars

To encourage competition between clubs and participants that may not occur otherwise

To encourage new drivers to take part in organised events accross the UK

This inaugural series will be organised and run by the BRCA 1/12th scale committee under the BRCA 1/10th Electric On-Road banner. However, if the series is a success and continues to prosper then there could be an opportunity for a new BRCA committee and stand-alone class to be created.

We have also confirmed today that Action Model Centre, the UK's premier 1/12th scale, GT10 and Formula 1 stockist will be supporting the series with an on-site shop at all 3 events!

More information, rules, a dedicated forum and FAQ can be found on the official BRCA webpage here;

http://www.brca.org/?q=content/formula-one-gt10/210

In short;

There is a class for the F103 and other older models which utilises silvercan motors. The F104 can also be raced in this class

There is a class for 17.5t brushless mototrs, in which the F104 can be raced

Entry is now open and is done using the BRCA online booking system. Allyou require to enter an event is a suitable car, a BRCA licence (£15 per year) and a Paypal account.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any further info or have any questions. The best way to contact me is via email (12cpro@brca.org) or on the BRCA forum on the webpage given above.

It would be great to see some of you guys at the meetings!

Thanks and kind regards

Mark Stiles (BRCA F1 Public Relations Officer)
