Hello again.

It must be a record, 3 posts in 24hours! I finished my SS about a week ago and have already got the 'bug' (pardon the pun. what pun? well keep reading) to build another Tamiya kit. I want to build up a fleet of bugs so I thought I would buy an M06 Pro and a beetle shell for it. I want to spray it metallic green and put the alloy 4 spoke wheels on it but at £85 for the pair I am struggling to justify it!

Anyways here is my planned set up

M06 Pro

Beetle shell

Alloys (maybe;-))

Ezrun 13T system

3001 Servo

Ball Diff (maybe)

Question Time;

1. What pinion is a good starting point? I assume 20/21 but would appreciate any advice. Won't be racing it but would like a bit of a wow factor without melting gearbox (hence ball diff)

2. SHall I be flash and buy the nice TRF shocks or are the pro ones more than adequate?

3. Anyone else selling alloy wheel for M chassis??

Cheers for now

You can't get a 21 tooth pinion in an M-06 and the 20 is what it comes with. May as well run that. Ball diff isn't going to be as effective on the rear-drive chassis as it is on the front drive chassis. The gear diff isn't going to melt - you'll have less bother with it than with a ball diff. TRF shocks are a lot nicer than the CVAs but, again, for a non-racer you won't notice the difference.

I'm sure it will build up into a nice looking model, alloys or not!
