Yeah what brand?

I was thinking of Xerun for now but if I then get into racing (if Adelaide ever get 1/10 Offroad happening) then maybe I will upgrade what do you think?

I think he said Infinate, will let you know when I see them.

Ok no worries.

I would love to start up just an online store but not sure if it would be worth while or profitable

I can do all the webpage & server hosting myself with my ReadyNAS (just need to up my ISP plan) and my wifes lovely webpage know how but it is the out lay of buying the stock and getting set up with the suppliers.

Josh Pain and Kyosho RB5 win Australian Modified 2wd championships. Waiting for further results to be posted as far as other placegetters and 2wd stock.

Tomorrow is 4wd day, then Sunday is Truck day

The Lunchie is running an AM system @29.865... that is until I get my 2.4GHz systems but not sure when I will get that.

No pics of the mod, just the run of the mill mod like most other pictures you see of it.

The xtals in my AM are 29.945.

I have a pair of 29.825 too.

Also have 26.995 in FM, but everything I have read, says xtals are interchangable between AM & FM.

The set in my FM gear is 27.095, so I think we should be right! B)

I have a spare 29.865 RX if you want it KalEl63.

No use to me as I don't have a TX to match.

2.4 is on the cards for me, but not sure when that will happen.

But Falcon#1 will always stay AM! B)

Updates being posted on RCTech from time to time.

For info guys, My mate here in Cairns is starting up a business, which will include an online store, among lots of other things, he has these brushless sensored systems available in 6.5, 8.5, 10.5, 13.5, 17.5 & 21.5 for about $120.00. I'm picking up a 10.5 on Sunday for my cousins son, as part of his TeamC Mid Motor 2wd kit. Might try and snap a few photo's and post here. I think all the speedies are 100A.

Keep us posted, I'll need 6.5T set up for my TRF-201

One thing that is painfully obvious is the lack of support the TRF cars get in Australia, as shown by there lack of numbers on the grid. All these guys are so fast that they get support from the distributors, If Toy Traders aren't willing to import the cars (As I heard a little while ago, may have since changed), then none of these guys are gonna run 'em, as they probably get pretty good deals on the others.

I think I might get a few of these (thanks mtbkym01 for the link) as I will have a few cars with BL systems

Just wondering they shouldn't prove an issue for a 60A or 120A ESC?

They'll even be ok with a 35A speedie, it's more about the motor hooked up to the speedie that will cause an issue, the more powerful the motor, the more current draw from the ESC, so the higher Amp ESC can handle more powerful donks, The battery will deliver whatever the ESC draws, up to it's limit, will have no effect on things other than lacking a bit of punch compared to say 5000mah 60C pack. At least that is my understanding of it all, I'm still learning myself

I've got some IP 4600 50C packs here that have 'puffed' a little bit ($100 packs) , I've seen these Turnigy's perform as well at my club as the more expensive packs, unfortunately batteries are and always will I imagine, be a little bit hit and miss, for general running/club racing, I dont think you can beat the value for money these packs give.

I've seen 1/8 brushless cars destroy $200+ 14.8 volt batteries in 4 runs, replaced by $50 Turnigy, and lasted 10 times as long

I'm looking at charger and power supply, but can't find them in the Australian Warehouse.

I even looked them up via your link to the Australian Warehouse, but seems to still be sourced Internationally.

Are there none available in Australia at the moment? Because I'm sure I have seen them before.

try this one

As in the desription, the Imax is the original charger that has spawned mutliple branded chargers which are identical (the case in point is the 2 you guys have linked). I've got 2 of the Turnigy's myself, plus another I cant think of the brand, and they work exactly the same.

The Australian warehouse seems to only stock certain things, and to be honest, I've only bought batteries from there coz of the shipping thing. All my other stuff has come from Hong Kong (International Warehouse)

BTW, the guy swho started and owns Hobbyking is an Aussie B)

The one linked by Falcon#5 are the ones I've got, I've had no issues at all with them. I also got one for my cousin, and his has been fine aswell. The biggest issue I have had was balancing a LIFE reciever pack for my 1/8 Nitro cars, where the last little bit of balancing took ages, basically more the batteries issue as far as I can tell. Chargers have been fine.

You may not be alone down there, My cousin sent me a text before saying he was going down there tomorrowwith his sportwerks 2wd buggy and possibly his 1/8 brushless buggy, not sure if any others will be there. If you see a big guy with a couple of kids under 5, driving a green 80 series, say hello, mention you've been chatting to me online. BTW his name is Shane.
