Well, day 2 of the road trip is done, sitting in a motor inn in Walgett of all places, Broken Hill tomorrow night, then on to my folks place, just over 1000kms today, including a couple water crossings in southern Qld, the little Rav4 with trailer in tow did an awesome job! BTW, inside said trailer is another Pegasus

I am getting excited the Neo Falcon is getting close to done, the new Lipo's fit in the Lunchie so I will only have to get rounded ones for the Stadium Raider.

Just ned the BL's for the Neo and Lunchie to rock up and away I go..... well sort of still have to put the deans plugs on, put the double slipper & stabilizer bars in the DB01 & paint the Neo.

I have a feeling I may have gone too soft on the front end dampers with the lunchie. will give it a run around the house to see how it goes and start off by putting the stiffer springs in if it turns out its too soft.

any luck if not this weekend but next I will down at MP giving the 3 cars a run

The Frog just turned up in the post today. Now all i need to do is build it, get a radio, get a battery, get a charger and get a hornet.

Minimal. Was looking on Ebay and can get the Fly Sky 2.4g radio and receiver for $45 delivered, grap a servo for $10 and 2 3800 batteries with a charger for $35.

It may not be the best gear but it will do a job. I'll just start with the ESC & motor supplied with it. I'm really really trying not to make this one of those things i do where i have to have the best of everything.

A frog on road for under $250 sounds like a good deal to me.

Well I don't know much about that brand but if you are just having a fun/basher then the less money the better.

My DB01 and TRF201 I will spend good dollars on but the rest I will go the cheaper route.

But I am going to get 2 Futaba 2.4GHz system to sort different models eventually that way I don't have handsets everywhere.

5 cars each at this point but will allow me to have 20 cars all up

I'm pretty certain the Fly Sky gear is exactly the same as the Hobbyking branded gear, work well and are tremendous value for money, another frog in the mix, should be fun.

All our gear arrived safely (some minimal damage, repairable though) including my cars, although some plastic tubs they were in got broken and crushed, the grasshopper one in particular, was quite concerned when I saw it coming off the truck, but the car itself was fine. Sitting in Brisbane airport now on my way back to Cairns, for 1-2 weeks, then I'm down for good, and should be able to get some cars organised for some serious fun.

No sorry, no damage to cars, only furniture, gotta get the old aquadere wood glue out to stick on some trim on a display cabinet, all cars are safe and sound, thankfully
