Yeah I have been reading that thread slowly on VTA class along with the 280 odd pages on the Losi XXX-SCT which has been a great read with the info be floated around and I am so glad I got the XXX.

Will the 'Piston' cup be first across the line, or a points based race?

You could award points for backflips, wheelies, and tyre scrubbing.

Not sure on the DT-02.

But going by his signature, he has two of them.

Keep an eye on the AERCCC thread, if you have some spare time this weekend, break out the Mini for a run.

Might be a few other Minis there by the sounds.

Got the TA-03 going tonight, but motor is cooking.

I posted a thread on it, so hopefully someone can help me.

Not Sure.... I would struggle to gte mine around one lap I think.... spend more time on the back wheels. I think I have fixed the front shocks so it shouldn't dip like it did last time.

out of the box the RTR is a very good car and you will be fast (if your driving skill permits) wihtout any extra parts and as your skills get better you can then start doing stuff to it.

So it seems it is just repeating what my research before buying said but they have posted setups etc.

Sooo keen for a lunchie cup lol... its my main runner as they are just so much fun...! I had a mod in it for a while but it spent more time on its side and roof than on its wheels so its back to standard ATM...! But I want a brushless for it...!??!!??

DT-02's are just sooo good for the money...! I have a sand viper (slightly modded but HEAPS of 3racing ali bits on thier way from rcstation...!) and a super fighter in the same boat but she's in bits ATM (only just got it) awaiting a ball diff and bearings, brushless, lipo, (which I have and haven't used yet) etc although I do like the free GMG shell that came with it i'll probly keep that and paint the other up.. I reckon all cars should come with 2 shells lol...!!!!

My reciever has carked it for some reason in my runner HS (since pranging it @ the 1/8 track @ morphettvale into a puddle of mud..!! last week) so doubt I'll bring it down til its fixed... (already in bits...! ;-(

I want one of those Kombi shells for my drift chassis.

Can't decide on windowed, or windowless version though.

Which Kombi shells are you looking at?

If they're 1/10, they might not fit the Lunchys short wheelbase.

I'm guessing you'd have to hack up the wheel arches to clear the tyres, so might be ok in the end.

I thought about putting a Lunchy body on the drifter, but the body is too short.

They do fit on a modded Mini chassis apparently.

Will see how good they are when I get them.

Should be ok for runners I imagine.

The viper is going good ATM and a real good thrasher for the money... GET 1...!

The HS has futaba and ESC etc so I'll bring it but my reciever is SHOT...! not very old so will see if I can get it replaced so a lend will see it fly.. It is pretty much STD just a sport motor and a chepa ESC (which for $20 landed is fantastic and runs my DT-02 13turn no problems..!!) it is 29.905 or 29.945 but the crystals shouldn't be a problem just the reciever...!! Would appreciate a lend...! I have got a couple spare recievers and Xtals comin for ease of running many..!

1/10 for the Kombi body... I sent them an email to ask and see what I get back.

Yeah DT02's are good value for money. Like I said before I got mine landed for $110.00 bucks so I was happy with that, the 8.5T Ezrun was only $70.00 and then I put a few parts in it like the Ball diff and sway bars but overall hasn't cost me much at all fo a car that I am happy with for only a run or two with it so far.

Yeah I would love to see a heap of Lunchies thrashing it out around MP. May have to dial the 6.5T Zerun back a bit in mine if the Lunchie "Piston" Cup becomes a regular race

I am think the Losi XXX-SCT might take top spot on the car I drive most at MP, then the TRF201 (once I build it) followed by the DB01.

Yeah Node are good and you shouldn't have any problems with them I am on 150GB per month and I chew thru it every month

I'll probably head down there again for their next race meet, and take the TA-03 for a run if I can get it going in time.

Sounds like a few blokes are keen for a run at MP too.

Yeah I stopped by today too with my son so he could have a look.... Looked like fun but I think for now I will stick to getting my off road stuff together first. Although I do have my Mini that I could race there in the mini class if it still happens.

I was there from 12ish to 1.... had to wait for my son to wake up. Nah didn't speak to anyone as I didn't see a need at this point due to me focusing on the off road stuff.

They've found it difficult to have a Mini class, as the turnout is inconsistent.

Might get enough to run them one meet, then none at all the next.

Seem like a friendly and inviting mob there though.

Said anyone is welcome to bring their cars down on practice days, and even run a few laps in between races on comp days.

So if you feel like dusting off the Mini for a run, they'd be more than happy to have you there.

I really need to get the DB01 sorted, the XXX when it comes and then get the TRF201 build underway as those 3 cars are the ones I want to run often.

I have so much to buy I have to start prioritising what is the most important to get done for my most enjoyment. I think I will have to put the Fox on hold by the looks of the numbers in what I have to spend in getting the TRF201 going.

I need to stop seeing a car and going have to get one of them!

Glad the XXX is RTR and can do things to it later so for the time being it is getting the TRF201 built and the DB01 hop ups in I think.

Otherwise it would be a shame to have the TRF201 sitting in it's box for a year or more
