So are we on for this weekend? I am so hoping the XXX comes this week and I get time to get the deans plug soldered onto it and and the DB01's deans plug replaced too.

What would you class the surface of MP?

Definately on for this weekend!

Full house by the sounds of things, standing room only.

Plenty of new blokes interested by the posts on R/C Tech!

Sing out if you need a hand soldering.

I managed to do all my soldering with a poxy 25w iron.

Give me a crack with your 80w, should be a piece of cake! ;)

Not sure on the surface of MP.

Some parts are as hard and smooth as bitumen, others loose as buckshot, plus potholes galore in between! :P

Nothing like I have seen on any YouTube footage of other tracks.

Maybe a unique track?

Yes some real interest being generated that's for sure.

The surface has gallons on old cooking oil poured into it years ago, which has created that rock hard finish which has massive side bite (traction rolls galore with my SC10). Then there is the "new" section which is loose as a goose :)

It sure has spots here n there that could do with a bit of TLC but it adds to the character don't it.... Guess we could gauge what peoples thoughts are on just tidying it up if this gets off the ground.. (which is looking more and more promising by the day...!!!)

Yeah I am sure if things get going we will get the track up B)

Hanging to take the XXX-SCT for a run now.... tomorrow off to get the deans plug put on and then get the cars set for Saturday :D

There was talk of patching up some sections and dumping more vegetable oil on it.

Which reminds me I have a couple of 60ltr steel drums, might bring them down on Sat and see if Ricko wants them.

Maybe mtbkym01 can get in touch with him and check?

Boys, what time are you heading down on Sat 18/6?

The Frog is up and running. Gave it a belting on the weekend but am still waiting for the batteries to run in so i get longer out of them.

Also, i bought an Academy Road Runner body off ebay. That was my machine back in the day so now all i need to do is buy the grashopper and i'm back to the future.

Ah sweet, I got my Grasshopper for about $55 USD + shipping (No esc though)

I think most ppl generally get there around 10:30-11:00am

Sorry I cannot help myself and I do apologise but you have used the Term “Back to the Future†incorrectly. To get “Back to the Future†you have to be in the past.

Therefore with what you are saying you would need to be in the past before any of those cars came out and wanting to get to that time period of their existence being the future.

Sorry it’s the one of those things to me like when people say ATM Machine or ABN Number it just drives me nuts. But in all that I do know what you’re saying.. And I’m with ya!

Any who how do you think the track will be tomorrow with this rain?

My XXX is still a princess and hasn’t seen a spec of dirt yet let alone mud :)

Another Frog to see will be sweet

I will be there around the 10:30 - 11am time.

Of course, there is no need going to the ATM machine if you forgot your PIN number :)

Yeah true ;)

I know it is stupid of me but it is just one of those things that drives me nuts, I have accounts people at my work who say ABN Number :)

Good to hear you got the Frog going.

Did you get the Road Runner body from France?

I've been on the lookout for one of them, as my brother got one when I got my Falcon many many Christmases ago.

His car has been lost at somestage, and would like one to run with the Falcon, just as they did back in the day.

The NIB kit would be nice, but bit pricey for me at the moment, so thought about the Grasshopper chassis/Road Runner body also.

My XXX is still a princess and hasn’t seen a spec of dirt yet let alone mud :)

Get it dirty mate, that's what it's for!

I'll be there at 10:30, armed with my broom. ;)

See you all tomorrow.

See ya's at 10:30 or earlier....! :)

Yep I have decided bringing all four cars

XXX-SCT

Lunchie

DT02

DB01

I cannot wait to get my 2.4GHz system and start replacing the AM stuff so I don't have to find out if anyone will interfere with mine and vice versa.

If I can sell the M03 I will be able to order it soon :)

What 2.4 you gonna buy? the hobbyking ones are cheap as and are actually quite good.

I'll vouch for the HK gear too.

I picked up a new 2.4 set for less than I could find a second-hand AM RX to match my existing TX.

I think KalEl63 is looking at a Futaba 2PL.

How about bringing the TS just for show and tell :) , really wanna see it.

I'm bringing a heap of tyres down, any reasonable offers accepted
