There is an indoor Off-road carpet track at HobbyHabit at Daw Park. Not sure whether they have organised meets/comps.

There is also a Nitro Off-road track at Reynella?/somewhere down south.

I posted on their thread on RCTech asking when their next meet was, but was comprehensively ignored. :D

Put me off having anything to do with them.

Also, there is Mitchell Park :P

I still think momentum will gain if we start something.

Whether it is Vintage or Modern, there seems to be a hole that needs to be filled for Adelaide Off-road.

I'm sure mtbkym01 will have his credit card number handy! :P

Yeah have been in there at HH, it is a carpet track.... I like dirt! ::P not saying the track would be fun but.

Yeah I think we need to just get our motley crew down to Mitchell Park and see how it goes. They need to build a track out north, there was talk of the Complete Hobbies boys doing something but I am not sure where that is at ;)

I am 99% sure I will make my 10th car a TRF-201. I get stuck watching that YouTube video on my 42" LCD (gotta love keepvid) and it just looks like a great car to drive.

I haven't been to the carpet track at HH, only seen it on their website.

Looks fun. Cars would come home clean! :P

But dirt is where it's at! :P

I went to Complete Hobbies a couple of weeks ago. No Tamiya kits, and only two Kyosho kits. And the place is packed wall to ceiling!

Might have to stop in again to see if anything is happening re: track.

Would be good if there was something out our side of town.

I like that YouTube video too.

The way the TRF-201 corners, and soaks up bumps makes me want one.

Keeps up with 4wd, and has the ability to get some opposite-lock action happening.

Maybe if we keep our minds open to Modern, as well as Vintage, we might get a bigger crowd at Mitchell Park.

But let's not forget our roots! :P

I was in CH the other week and they had about 3 Tamiya kits in a corner down the bottom... two DB01 Baldre's and a DF03 Keen Hawk I think.

They are not Tamiya fans and HH aren't either. IMO CH is more for the racer customer and not for the basher type customer. which is fine as it is their business but good blokes in both and will help you out.

Hmm, might go have another look.

Just to have a sus at a DB-01 and DF-03 kit in the flesh!

They seemed pretty friendly and helpful when I was there.

Big turn around from when I was a kid!

I used to go to HH at Blair Athol to pick up Falcon parts when the family would come over from Pt Lincoln.

Haven't been in there for years until the other week also.

The train set is still there, but not much RC.

I did pick up a set of front spike tyres (not sure what they're from) but they fit my std Falcon front rims a treat.

For $5, I think I done alright!

Where do they race here in Adelaide?

We will have to work on him ;) remember he had his Credit Card taken away from him.

At the moment, I believe there is no 1/10 electric offroad racing in Adelaide anywhere. Had a look at the entrants list for the Nats in WA and SA is the only state not represented. The closest at this stage is Mildura.

Having said that, I heard a rumour the other day about something formal in 1/10 elec offroad becoming a reality. Watch this space B)

Let's hope something does materialise.

Would be good to see.

It is definately something Adelaide needs.

Could get some competition going between the Mildura, Pt Augusta and Whyalla crew maybe?

Which youtube clip you guys watching of the TRF201?

Put the URL in keepvid and save it as Mp4 HD as it plays well on big TV as I stream it to my Xbox360 and or PS3 and watch it.

same track different angle for the

I too have decided to get a TRF201 but I think this will be my last car for a while. I am also considering selling the Blitzer Beetle as a rolling chassis as the DT-02 replaces it.

Speak to me about that blitzer beetle before you offer it to anyone else B)

Did you see my links re electrics and lipos for new car?

Sorry, yeah I did.

Seems like a good price for the electrics.

Especially the LiPos.

The brushless system seems to be really high quality for the price, and if the 8.5 is too hot, they have other 10.5's and 13.5's for less that $30 each

Too hot? B)

Throttle control reigns supreme!

I think I will spend some bigger dollars on this car If it comes full circle. I think I might put a Tamiya BL system in it. Not sure what radio system but something if i ever get to race I am ready to go.

Think I will make this my "flagship" car and finish the hop-us for the DB-01. Two really good cars 2WD and 4WD then I have my lesser kits for street and where ever I go type Bashing. B)

I better keep a check on this hobby before I get too much to do I will never finish what I have to do. Looking forward to a meet at the track but. think the Durga and Lunchie will be the two running.
