Blazing Blazer in the Movies.....

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but....

...in the original movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" (not the Nicholas Cage one) there is a vehicle that has a more than passing resemblance to the magnificant Blazing Blazer.

Just to say it brought a [] to my face when I saw it.

I was watching 'Tremors 2' the other night and while i didn't spot any Tamiya RC there was quite a large RC content at the beginning - namely using RC cars with dynamite strapped to the back to go 'fishing' for Grabboids.

OK so its not the highest quality film ever...

Sorry to sound really silly!!But I was recently watching a Punky Brewster episode really early in the morning half asleep and what really got my attention was the R/c cars that were raced!There was a Hornet,FAV,Subarut Brat,Superchamp as well as a Frog!Wow!!!!There was also a Hotshot on a bench!

I know this isnt from any movie but on one of the previous series of "SCRAPHEAP CHALLANGE" the two team were given the task of making radio controlled bomber aircraft to bomb a target at the bottom of a quarry, but as they was ferreting about the scrap pile I noticed that both teams just so happnened to stumble on a load of RC car chassis and Radio Transmitters.

one of the chassis recovered was a mint looking Jugganaut chassis which they proceded to tear to peices to retrive the radio gear from to power their RC Bomber

another film with an R/c Truck Oceans 11 (the new version)shame the truck was crushed

not really in the movies but the sniper unit of the San Jose Police department use R/C trucks for target practice. The truck has a pole with targets on it. they use the unpredictability of the truck to imitate real life situations. the trucks are cheap nikko toys, nothing really good.

Yeah, I've seen that too. It was racing against a real truck with the same shape and colors and so on, only 1:1. The 1:1 cheated by running over it's little opponent... []

I believe they both looked very familiar to a real monstertruck called 'Grave Digger'. []
