Not quite, the Blitzer says "RCC Monster Beetle 58060 Tamiya 1986" whereas the MB just says "RCC Monster Beetle". Could be something they changed with the later MB shells though, adding the copyright bit.

Jozza you are right there is additional information molded inside. Really I think it's inplace to add the part number to the body. at that point they could have renamed it Blitzer Beetle but they didn't.

same thing for the Wild willy 2 driver sprue. It's identical to the ww 1 but on the tree they're are extra part numbers

For injection moulding it's a lot easier to machine more detail into the mould (adding parts to the sprue) than it is to remove details.

I've also found that the front of the bonnet is different - the Monster Beetle version has a larger cutaway than the Blitzer, this means that the Monster Beetle shell won't fit onto the Blitzer chassis without a bit of cutting (the Blitzer shell fits the Monster chassis fine though). See this pic, it's not as clear as I would like, but if you look closely you should see the difference..

Hi,

did no one noticed that the Monster Blitzer bodies are much wider than the SS body!!!!! The original SS body is a tight fit at the RC-Box. All others are about 1,5cm wider at the bottom. You can see that the sidewalls of the SS is more like ) and the later bodies are ! straight. So the newer bodies are totally different from the original one!!!
