Pictures of it running would be great ;)

Blasphemy :) ! We all know I just build the "shelfers".

Just awaiting a driver figure from TC Member "louiepou" to arrive and then it's time for proper photos on the beach. Perhaps I'll give it a "goose of throttle" to appease the crowds !

Say tuned and check back for my "runner" Super Clod Buster" currently being built . Oh, and my rebuild Thunder Tech Ripper TXT-1. It's gonne be the best "Monster Truck" year yet.

I've never been fond of those bat chassis's, but that's a real nice bit of kit, and theres no way I'd kick it outta home! :) Very cool!

Looking forward to seeing all three finished!

I like how you used those Dyna Storm dampers  They look good on there, and I know they would give very nice damping action as well... I understand you're shelfing it if I look at the high amount of custom bits and alu gone into this car. However, it's a shame to not see this in action

I would love to see it run, even just on grass. Have been thinking about putting two sport tuneds, a 103bk and two 18 tooth pinions in my TXT-1...

berman - it weighs a TON, so the running report would be pretty un-spectacular !

origineelreclambord - the shocks are made by Tamiya specifically as txt-1 hop ups, Part #53492 (They may just be rebadged Dyna Storm shocks, beats me).

Thanks for the comments.

Is it quite a bit heavier than a stock TXT-1 with all those metal parts?

I think the stock TXT-1 runs 16 tooth pinions, hence my idea for 18 tooth's, the stock top speed is dismal for what seems to be a truck that can handle a bit more.

I figured, with 18 tooths, sport tuneds with their extra 3.5k rpm and 150 more torque each, the TEU-103bk and it's 150a constant (instead of say 2x60a for two 101bk's), and the extra punch and .2v from a 2s lipo, it wouldn't be so bad...

When I read your spec's I was hoping you were going to run it so I could see what it would be like :D If you do ever decide to run it, could you be so kind as to video it?

Regardless, it's a gorgeous truck! I'm wanting a custom truck now haha

I just looked them up and they are different, sorry about that :) On the pictures you made you wouldn't be able to distinguish them (Slightly different top cap, the black ring/retainer on top is thicker on this one, and the bottom shape+cap is also different. They also seem to have a more blue anodizing on the pictures of TamiyaUSA, but on your pictures the anodizing is a typical grey-ish blue, which is a colour they barely used on anything else than the Dyna Storm's Sleevecd Dampers) :D
