LiPo Batts for SRB greater than 3000mah

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm trying to find a higher capacity LiPo battery (3000mah or greater) that will fit the SRB.. thus far the highest capacity that I have found is a 2600 mah that measures 110 mm in length. The format for anything with higher capacity is around 132mm or more.. and it wont fit the SRB battery case..

Maybe one of you has come across one that fits that I have not found.

Thanks in advance,

Raman

Mark, those look like they'd work.. Any idea of price and where they're sold?

i ended up just getting some 2200mah 7.4v lipos by turnigy, there a good size and fit really well and give more than enough run time for my liking.

Has anyone tried fitting "saddle pack" LiPo's in the SRB radio box?

Such as http://www.orrcaqld.org.au/wp-content/uplo...ATTERY-LIST.pdf

I was wondering if they would fit side by side, but length ways in the radio box... i.e. instead of having a battery 280mm x 46mm, arrange them to be 138mm x 92mm

Just a thought.. Sorry I dont have an SRB radio box handy to measure..

Ive looked into Saddle packs and they won't fit side by side or stacked.

Gensace makes a 1S pack that's 6000 mah which would be perfect had the made a 2S and theres no room for stacking.

I currently run the turnigy 2200, but only 1, so

I may end up doing 2 @ 2200 or 2650.

The SRB's weight makes it a bit thirsty for batts.. I used to race my M04 with the 2200 and still have lots of juice.

I am thinking about going to Lipo in the SRB too.

Can I ask what kind of runtimes are you getting with the 2200 Turnigy Lipos?

I cant really say, it was built at christmas but has yet to be painted or run, but i have three of the 2200mah lipo's so runtime would not be a problem for me.

Im getting maybe 12 min with a single 2200mah. My ESC is a Novak Havoc Sport and motor is a Tamiya black can. I'd like to have at least 20 min with the car...
