My Wish List

Thanks for everyones help with my next purchase, now I'm looking for suggestions on what kits I should have.

Here's my "Wish List" at present:

AVANTE

BOOMERANG (Order this week)

LUNCHBOX (Order this week)

CLODBUSTER

HORNET

GRASSHOPPER (Possible order this week)

HOLIDAY BUGGY 2010

STADIUM BLITZER (Maybe)

Do you think anything significant is missing from this Re-Re list? (Obviously, lots of very desirable kits not re-re'd)

I personally wouldn't have a Hotshot and a Boomer

I personally wouldn't have a Hornet and a Grasshopper - maybe those that have both will argue they are significantly different , but my feeling is they look very similar and they handle very similar.

If you want to collect 30+ Tamiyas ultimately then yes, get several similar models, but if you feel you will max out at 10-12 then there are plenty of other models with sufficient variety to keep your interest as runners and shelfers.

I understand that about the similarities, and have thought it myself, what other models are you thinking, with sufficient variety? Is the Brat different from the Frog, I would've thought it more similar than those mentioned above as an example

I think the only difference between the Frog and Brat, is the shell and wheels/tyres.

And one of the Manta Ray/Dirt Thrasher/Top Force/TA01/TA02 variants - lots of choice! These were the 4WD backbone of Tamiya's range for a long time.

I've got an Avante 2011 (haven't decided if I'm going to build it)

My list would have to have a tank but for me it would be the Tiger 1 (from Kelly Heroes if you've seen the film)

Really hope they re re the Wild One. That was my first radio control car. Also want an Egress but doubt that will ever be re-re. Might have a go at building one from a 2001 base (also had one of these back in the day) If I get the Egress it would have to be in the same colours as the one reviewed in Radio Race Car November 1988 which was my first RC magazine

Told her tonight mate over the phone (4000kms away, safe distance) and she didn't mind at all. said at the price how could I not. Would've been a different story if I didn't just sell my Guitar and amp (no time for it anymore)
