I recently have got a Mabuchi RS380 motor (yes, the small one) and was wondering how can I get the pinion off of it, because it doesn't have a grub screw holding it in place. Anybody knows if it is possible to get the pinion off of it and if so then how it should be done?

You all have a great weekend!

Best tool for the job is a pinion puller. Fairly common among the model aircraft fraternity, I have one made by GWS.
Thanks for the response, digitrc. The pinion is not opened on top, so that device would not be of help.

Anyway, I got me a 52T gear and installed the 380 motor without any modifications or problems on my Frog gearbox.

Have a great Monday!
