I've recently bought a King Hauler from ebay and at some point I am after radio gear that is compatible with the MFU. I was told in a local model shop that Tamiya have been a bit crafty about this and that only certain systems will work on the trucks, due to the extreme trim throws needed to operate all the functions. Can anyone advise or shed any light on this? Many Thanks, Andy

I use Planet T5 2.4GHz on all my trucks, all fitted with MFU's and it works fine

Also Futaba FF7 2,4 gHz sets works with the MFU.. Only annoying thing is that the "full trim throw" can take a short while to achieve, as they are digital, with "beep-beep-beep" adjustments, and not the ratchet-sound type of trims.. But hey, the MFU is also pretty "stoneage" compared to todays radios, and when designed for use with 4-channel sets, they had to think of some clevr way to make the extra functions work, and i guess it does. :(

Cheers..

Michael
