Hello,

I have been busy at modifying my Sand viper. When i started out i liked the way i had out the original kit together but with some help from users here and some ideas etc i have transformed my DT-02 chassis into something of a weapon in my opinion. Road test is still to come and still waiting on stickers to adorn the shell (Rockstar Energy), but here is how it looks at the moment. Enjoy.

Specs:

Engine: Castles Sidewinder V2 4600Kv

Battery: Intellect 4000

Gears: Tamiya Ball Diff

Shock socks (For show, see how practical they are)

ESC: Sidewinder V2, has Castle Link USB also

Wheels/Tyre: 3Racing 5 spoke for DT-02

Shell: RC10 ASC6160 Shell modified to fit chassis, painted in Metallic Black Tamiya paint.

And if anyone can give me tips on how to put proper picutres on here instaed of these Jpeg windows please give advice, thanks,

What a nice Sand Viper, very aggressive!!! :)

Love the 3Racing wheels look, i used them on my Dyna Storm racer for a couple of years and never had a problem, obviously to race i had to change the awful 3Racing plastic tyres........ :)

To add pictures i generally use an on-line image hosting like imageshack and use the "Direct Link" inside the insert image you find on top, anyway i'm not a big expert about this and probably someone else will be able to give you more precise information.

Bye

WWD

How is the Tamiya ball diff holding up? Mine is slipping with a 23T BZ Stock motor anytime there's just a little grip...

The RC10 body sure does make it look different (in a good way). Really needs a driver in there with all that open space you can see through the windows.

I've had no diff problems to date with either of my DT02s. One is powered the same as Tamiya Tamer's with a Castle 4600Kv and IP4000 Li-Po (DT02MS) and the other is on a 27T Dirt Tuned and TEU101-BK (Sand Viper).

Wheelstands is an understatement  It's all fun though :(

I would have to say the biggest improvement I've made to my modern Tamiya buggies is replacing the stock dampers.

I don't have a DT-02, but IMHO, on the DF03 and DB01 the plastic parts they came with really are not up to the task. I've put 3Racing and TRF shocks on the things and have to say the TRF parts are better but it can be hard justifying the extra cost (especially on the DF03 which almost never get's run.)

I do like how the RC10 body looks on the thing.

Very NICE! Reminds me of a project I did a while back with the DT-02 and RC10 body.

Great job!

Steve

GUILTY as charged your honour, I saw your version and fell in love with the shape so i had to copy it, so thank you for the motivation

Update: I haven't road tested it yet, becuase (silly reason really), I am getting my brother to teach me how to solder properly, so I'm soldering my Denas plugs to everything today, then it is run ready.

I will update you all with hows its maiden voyage went, and as far as parts are concernecd i guess its a case of see what happens to see if it needs replacing or not,

thanks for the comments its appreciated.

and thanks pastimesteve, again.
