Never mind the colour, what about a limited addition with ball diff, coil overs, chrome bead locks, even alloy bead locks now that would be the thing to make it maybe even a Tamiya engraved alloy plate complete with stars numbered limited run, then they would get me, then repeat change the above and re-number small changes small cost, maybe anodized metal parts, proper collectability.

Just a thought

My question is, 'why do we have all the right suggestions and Mr Tamiya just doesn't get it.... '

I would never claim to know more about the game than Mr T, or even that what I would want would be viable economically, just what I would consider as a insentive that would make me get another srb. It might be a market of one though  . How cool would that be to have Mr T give you a one off though, just to your specifications. Sorry must have gone onto cloud nine for a min.

Is this not just a way to shift kits that Tamiya USA has got stuck with? I very much doubt those kits left Japan with anything other than white bodies....

Do Hong Kong stores get their stock from TamiyaUSA?

No, no, of course not. I'm talking rubbish thinking about it :D

I suspect that this is just a muse to use up over production though, whether they're sprayed up in the US or Japan that the kits started out as one batch of white bodied ones.

He guy i was looking at there Tamiya site and there selling the Buggy Champ Silver edition for $198.00 US dollars. Just wanted to tell everyone.

If they all did leave with white bodies, I kind of want to hold out just to see what other colours come next.

I must be the only one thinking a 'Magenta Edition' would be really cool...

Given that the tamiyausa site isn't meant to be a retail outlet as such, more a last resort if your tamiya dealer can't supply in short time, I'd assume there is just no demand from the retailers so TUSA sells them off cheap rather than adding to the cost of shipping to retailers. A deal for TUSA, and the punter.
