Kevin_Mc 411 Posted March 25, 2011 I've tried a search but couldn't see anything useful. Is it possibly to stretch rc Tyres to fit on wheels that are slightly too wide? The same idea as stretched Tyres on a Golf etc. but obviously there is no steel supports in rc rubber. Is it possible to do? I have a set of HPI wheels with Tyres that are maybe 2mm too small so there is a tiny stretch, is this the biggest I can go for?
Spetz83 0 Posted March 25, 2011 It does not give the effect you're looking for. I have 24mm tires on 26mm rims and basically the best thing to do is glue the outside part first so it looks good and then the inside part which tends to look uneven and with some gaps. I suspect (though heard otherwise) that 26mm tires should fit on 24mm rims giving the same look as in real cars with wider tires than rims
Kevin_Mc 411 Posted March 25, 2011 yeah i think it's 24mm tyres on 26mm wheels that i have already - i'll not be using them though. I didn't think it would really work any better/bigger than this as they're not the same, nor a similar, constuction to 1:1 tyres
Spetz83 0 Posted March 25, 2011 Any pics of the 26mm tires on 24mm wheels? I was always curious but never had 24mm rims
