unknown Kyosho 1:10 Nitro car

Recommended Posts

Hello @all

I like to introduce myself at first

My name is Lukas, I live in switzerland, at the moment I am going to the Gym but hopefully I will geht a job as an IT specialist soon.

I have many hobbies such as Rc cars, scale train models, collecting old Matchbox cars from the 50s and 60s and also computers.

I hope it will be a great time in this forum and please excuse my basic school enlish but Il try my best.

Now to my question:

A few days ago i bought two old Rc cars, one from kyosho the other from carson. the Kyosho is the interesting one, with some carbon parts and also a 4 wheel belt drive system and two gears, its seams to be a professional Model.

It is equipped with a Kyosho Gs11R engine and the chassis is marked Team Kyosho. I couldnt find out wich model it is exatly, someone told me it has some similaryties with the early V-one but the suspension seems different.

I hope you can help me to identify my neat little car.

I cleaned it compleetly since it was dirty as badword, now its one clean shiny car  today the first engine start for at least 6 years or so was a little surprise, it fired right up and ran completly smooth.

here are some pictures of the car by the way the car with the purple aloy parts is the carson car that came with the kyosho and I also need help to identify this one :

Thank you very much by helping identify this car : ) Today I installed some Servos and tryed the car out, it runs beautifully smooth but the joy was short lived, after a few drives up and down the road it began to make some wierd noises, I pulled over and recognized a totaly screwed Drive gear for the second speed, somehow (alltrough i checked the play between the teeth) they ripped right of

So now i have to get a replacement. Does anyone know where I could buy such drive gears? On ebay there is nothing. I will try my local RC dealer but I dont think they got the right spare parts...

If anyone of you could offer me the right parts it would be really nice.

I do have a paypal account so the payment should be easy.

Thank you for your answers.

Regards

Lukas

Since the car is out-of-production since over 10 years that might be difficult, especially two-speed parts.

Useful search terms for Ebay or Google:

"Kyosho"

"spider"

"pureten"

"pure ten"

"pure 10"

"sp*" (Kyosho Spider spare parts prefix)

"spw*" (Kyosho spider optional parts prefix)

"w*" (Kyosho optional parts such as driveshafts)

"39*" (Kyosho part numbers starting with 39)

"gp-10" (GP-10 are a long running series of models of Kyosho cars, to which the GP Spider MK. II belongs)

"tf*" (Kyosho's Tour Force cars, especially TF-1/2/3, share some suspension parts with the GP Spider Mk. II)
