This is pretty self-explanatory. All you need to change is the front axles.

Runs pretty well, but the tires rub the fenders on big landings, and it's a bit over-geared. Not sure if it's staying like this, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of seeing it.

That is a major complaint with the DT-02.

Luckily, similar projects can probably be tried out on different chassis as well: Stadium Blitzer re-re, DN-01/TRF201 (Holiday TRF Truggy? :D) and many more, including non-Tamiya chassis' of course.

Anyway, this without a doubt looks a lot better than the original HB2010! :)

Thanks for the comments. The biggest problem is that I swiped these wheels and tires from my Lunchbox to try this, and it has told me in no uncertain terms that it wants them back. But I like the "wider is better" approach to this car, so maybe I'll have to grab another set. And maybe some road tires, which are a little smaller in diameter. This one can't handle the bumpy backyard anyway, so maybe it's better suited to driveway use...
