Hi there folks,

http://tamiyablog.com/ features the video of the 50th Shizuoka Hobby Show 2011 which includes pics/video of the re-re FAV at 00:29:50.

PS: The red version of the Holiday Buggy looks to be pink ............

Enjoy,

Looks to be a true copy of the original (With a few touch-ups).

The Camoflague decals are a nice touch .

The rollcage looks to be black ? Looks like they have even kept the old resistor plate holes like on the original rollcage .

Battery compartment cut out near the nerf bars at the rear (Off side).

Shock up-grade on the rear ? (Not sure camera jerky).

No rubber dust boots over the driveshafts ?

Dogbones ? (Would be interesting to see the gearbox see if they have modified it in anyway)

Now everyone can own one without paying silly money ....good all round !!!

Some nice kits there

No suprises with the red/pink holiday buggy its still ugly .

Black star dish wheels on red HB. These will look sharp on many 2WD buggies, vintage or DT02. Do the HB 2010 wheels suit 50mm or 54mm I.D tyres ?

Looks like I better start saving for a Wild One!

Is it a dead cert that the Wild One will be re-re'd? Not too fussed on the FAV but the Wild One will be an insta-purchase for me

Wish we had decent shows like that in the UK. We don't even have good computer shows like we used to (I'm talking Amiga/Megadrive days here mind you)

54. Same as most of Tamiya's 2wd and 4wd buggies like the DT02, DF03, TL01 based vehicles.

Camo decals. Way over engineering at work again! Or are they thinking we aren't creative enough? Looks pretty good in those shaky shots.

I like this a LOT. Would love this to be the beginning of the creation of some more classic 1980's cars. Mk2 Golf & Corrado next please.

Hi Folks,

Can anybody help to translate, please:

a. 1/16RC レオパルト2用ダイキャストサスアーム Daikyasutosasuamu 1/16RC for Leopard 2

Does this mean "ダイキャスト サス アーム" or (for Leopard 2) "die-cast suspension arm"?

b. 1/16RC レオパルト2用ダイキャストテンショナー Daikyasutotenshona 1/16RC for Leopard 2

Does this mean "ダイキスト テンショナー" or (for Leopard 2) "die-cast tensioner"?

c. 1/16RC シャーマン用ダイキャストアイドラーホイール Daikyasutoaidorahoiru 1/16RC for Sherman

Does this mean "ダイキャスト アイドラー ホイール" or (for Sherman) "Idler Wheel Diecast" ?

d. ダイキャストファイナルドライブカバーセット1/16RC for Sherman

Does this mean "ダイキャスト ファイナル ドライブカバーセット" or "Final Drive Cover Set Diecast"?

Thanks!

I think the releases are nice :) I find the TA06 most interesting of the list - I really wonder whether this is the start of an era with more cars using this layout (perhaps even a TRF tourer using this layout?), though it may also prove to be unsuccessful: not because it won't be a good car (because I doubt it will be bad), but because the public prefers the more conventional layout of the TA05 - pretty crucial, as the TA-series are an important seller for bashers, club racers and a decent choice before buying a full-on competition tourer.

Then the M06 RX7: It looks AWESOME! This is exactly the sort of (lexan) shells I hoped they would release: No modern blobs, no re-re's that people can complain about, but a very decent looking body of a slightly older car! :P

The F104X1 and TB03VDS also look great, though I don't have the same excitement about these releases than the other two, simply because I am not really into the drift and direct drive onroad cars :P

YES! This is really great! My only complaint is they really need to come up with some new "M" wheels for all the bodies. There are really only a few available...

I'll be getting one of these shells though! RX-7!

Cheers,

I went last year, went through Tamiya HQ as well.

It is not the same sitting at home looking at pictures as you cant pick things up and have a good look. :)

I wonder what they are going to Charge for the FAV?

Seems with the re re sand scorcher etc, you pay quite a bit for nostalgia.

On a happy note,I'll have a good supply of new spares for my WO :o

15,750 JPY is the full MRRP.

RC Champ (a Tamiya Club sponsor in Japan) will be selling them for 8,900 JPY (anticipated price).

If you are paying 15,700 JPY then you are paying too much.

That Nissan GTR looks gorgeous.

The FAV not really my cup of tea, but it sure looks like a fun build. At that price I'll still get one. I'm looking forward to all the painting variations...

Problem is,whenever I buy anything from the States, the price in Dollars is usually the price in pounds on our shelves :D

I buy most of the trick bits for my motorbike from the US,as even factoring in the postage, they are a badword of a lot cheaper.
