How much would you pay for a complete Holiday Buggy...?

I paid £90.00 for mine, and it even came with a magazine featuring pictures of the very same car. Not quite mint and the worse driver paint job ever.

I know you love them as much as I do, but only NIB ones make $300-$400. [V][:(]

I bought (and sold) one for £100 with nib decals and VGC undamaged body.

On a lot of auctions, body damage seems to be snapped roof pillars - this seems very common.

I've asked a couple of sellers to confirm the pillars aren't snapped and never had a reply....

Thanks for the reply guys...it seems they sell pretty easily. Do they sell easily...?

I was thinking about getting one but if I didnt like it, I wanted to make sure I could sell it on again.

Mine cost me €30 and it came with the Marui Coors Melling Thunderbird and some other stuffs... Was quite pleased - it caused my great interrest in vintage stuff... [;)] I was lawys interrested in vintage cars and RC cars - what would be better than looking for vintage RC cars? [:D]

Please note the front bumper may be quite expensive, just because it's used on the Sand Scorcher cars too... And you hit things with the front first.. [xx(] I still need 2 front bumpers for both my Holiday Buggy and Sand Rover, which share most chassis parts with each other.

Also note there is a HB Mk.1 and a HB Mk.2. The one in my showroom is the Mk. 1 version, I beleive Tamiya went on making the Mk.2 after they released the Sand Rover, to fit the 540 motor mount. Also the front spring mounts are different. I know it doesn't make ANY sense but it's the only theory I got... I also don't really think it influences the value - just because nobody knows... [;)]

(Theo, shouldn't you be adding this to your site (in hits & tips) as a true HB fan? I'll help you with pictures and stuff. LMK [;)] )

A good HB should cost around €100 (£60)...? Correct me if I am wrong... [:I]

I managed to pick up a HB for £25 a few weeks ago complete with a period radio gear.I came across it at a model shop when i was buying some bits for an M-02 chassis,I just asked him " anything else that you want to get rid of??" and he just bought this cardboard box out and lo and behold a HB ...In bits but its about 95% complete. The body is in good nick but requires a repaint and decals And a front bumper,Butit sounds like iv'e got no chance if Sjoerd wants 2 [:D]

But i wouldnt worry about not being able to sell it on claire i think there's plenty of people out there who would take if off your hands [;)]

i've had/striped at least 6 HB's and found the most common faults to be snaped roof supports and broken chassis around the front shocker mounts, there is always somebody out there who wants a HB so there is not a problem when it comes to re-sale, although they are not as desireable as the near identical Sand rover which sells for much more when up for auction and in my opinion is far better looking.
