back in Oct 2010... i got a Mounty... not exactly the best of condition nor the worse..... wrong color...decal-less...missing parts.....rust....

this was how i got her

Next up was the body....

decided to use Bright Mica Red instead

Looks really awesome. You did a great job with that resto! And I'm not even a fan of the Mountaineer model. You going to put the orig. decals on it? Again, it sure looks sweet!

Looks great! But I don't see how you can spend all that time and effort on a restoration and not want to see it move under its own power, just once...

Guess that's why I stick to the re-releases, or old "survivors" like my Falcon. I don't feel guilty about scratching them up.

Personally, i dun mind the time n effort taken to restore a vintage, especially when they turn out nice, juz like how they look when they 1st came out.... most of the time, the cars i got are usually used, unclean,no boxart, missing parts....etc.... u get the drift?

so when i finish up a resotration, i am very pleased when i can get them back to the original state.....

i do run my vintages once in while... supershot, 88avante, dyna blaster have all taken part in a vintage race......
