How much are Champ selling them for?

8900 Yen, not including postage and handling charges. I did buy some other items with it to kill the shipping charges somewhat. One of those hard to find Five Stars FS-7039 steel mainshafts for the DF03, and another older kit for my son that they so nicely tracked down for me (kids will be fussy).

The guy who bought my DF03MS wants to sell it as he's been having gear wear problems too. It needs a complete rear gearbox gearset now from what he describes (he drove it until it stopped without checking the mainshaft gear).

That sounds well cheap. I assume that the add ons would bring the total up to about £100 for us in the UK, not including import duty. I hope Stella can match that.

The more I see this, the more I want one... What parts would I need to convert it to the Wild One dampers/shock setup? Just the front damper mounts, or more than that? :) (I think the FAV suspension is too sophisticated :D)

You will need a pair of front damper stays, two front suspension stays, two Wild One Damper socket, Tamiya 50273 Bruiser/ Wild One/ Hornet Damper Set. If you buy a New Wild One Damper Set, so you have also the needed thread screws, bolts and 2 additional brass tubing.

Ahh.. Was wondering how you made out with that FS-7039. Glad they still had one for you.

The guys at RC Champ are great.

Forget to mention that there is an other part you may need. Two distance rings , each one will be placed between the front suspension stays and Wild One/ Hornet front damper.

U can actually choose not to paint it... Tamiya has included a camo decal that you can use straight away.

When I raced my original Wild One, I found an additional spring spacer (the red plastic collar just above the spring), on each front damper helped stiffen up the front end slightly.

I also think there's a weak point where the front roll bar mounts to the bathtub (although as mentioned somewhere else the FAV pastic front cover might help). When my Wild One landed on its roof, the roll bar punched holes in both sides of the tub. If I was building one today I'd try to provide a bit of give somehow between the roll bar and tub.
