Hi Folks,

It's been a while since I last posted a thread regarding racing at Hinckley Radio Control Car Club (HRCCC) - so thought it would be a good idea to remind everyone about our current outdoor buggy season.

We've moved our outdoor venue to the Hinckley Rugby Club on Leicester Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire (LE10 3DR) (see link) - we currently race on grass, catering for 1/10 electric buggies in 2WD open, 4WD open and Quick Silver (27turn sealed silver can powered) classes. All abilities are welcome and the atmosphere is easy-going.

Meetings are run on a Saturday afternoon - we typically get around 30-40 drivers per meeting. The meeting format is 4 qualifying rounds (round by round) and a final for everyone. Booking in opens at 12:00 with racing starting around 13:00. Race fees are just £6 per class. Food and drinks are available.

The venue has played host to a round of the West Mids 2WD and 4WD Regional championship and we will be hosting the 2011 dBoots GP over the August Bank holiday (see link)

The next race meeting is tomorrow (23/07/11) - so if you're at a loose end and want to come along, it'd be great to see you.

Cheers

.........and finished about 15:30.

Hey James - have you been having trouble telling the time on your Mickey Mouse watch again???

No Hinckley race meeting I've ever attended finished at 3.30pm - I think you might mean 17.30 - right?!

Now just remember the big hand points to the minutes and the little hand points to the hours. :)

See you there tomorrow - roughly about when Mickey's little hand is pointing almost straight up and his big hand pointing down to his feet! :)

D'oh :)

Yup - thanks for that (although there's no need to take the Mickey :) ).

See you when Mickey's dancing to Saturday Night Fever then.

Is their a meeting on 3/9/11?

Sorry BigJag - Hinckley's summer buggy season 2011 is now officially over - the final race meeting was this weekend. Don't despair though - the Autumn indoor touring car racing starts again at John Cleveland College on September 10th and runs every Saturday until the start of December. Of particular note may also be the Quicksilver Grand Prix planned for Sunday 16th October. An excellent opportunity to race stock 540 Silver Can powered touring cars. Should be good. Hope to see you there..
