Modelsport expect stock end August (58452), Fusion Hobbies aren't listing currently but Wonderland website suggests they have stock.

When the rere came int here was a suggestion it was limited but who knows what limited means - 1000 or 100,000 units ?

tamiya stinks.

Wow, real helpful fella. B)

@macmeniac: Tamiya has stated from the onset that the re-re Scorcher was a regular limited release, hence the open-ended production period. They may stop making them soon, but with as many that are already out there on the market, my guess is we will be seeing plenty of kits and parts for sometime to come.

Get em while they are still hot I guess. The re-re SRB's.

Buggy Champ 2009 release (58441) - These are getting harder to purchase now, although still available. Stores have fewer quantities in stock. Stores also list these as discontinued. Parts still available from JR-RC. I spoke to a guy at my local hobby shop and he says no more will be ordered/cannot order.

Buggy Champ Gold Edition - Still readily available at discounted prices at some stores

Buggy Champ Silver Edition - Still readily available at discounted prices at some stores

Sand Scorcher 2010 release (58452) - These are getting harder to purchase also now. Still available at reasonable prices from the USA. Some sellers in Europe charge max RRP price (close to $500) for these. The good Hong Kong sellers haven't stocked these for months with no indication of restock, I have no idea why???. Parts still available from JR-RC. My local hobby shop says no more will be ordered, probably cause no one is buying them regularly.

If you're in the US, and are lookiing to get an SS, I would get one now. Towerhobbies has them for $284.99 -$30, but it only lasts until july 31st. i just bought one and with the standard shipping it only came to $264.99. Thats a great deal in my book, and I figure the SS will be gonzo soon.

It is a good deal by Tower. I did the same and purchased my final Sand Scorcher 2010 using this discount.

I should imagine tamiya have a limited amount of pieces to produce for both these kits....me, i'll prob grab a new Buggy Champ kit well before they get sold out..

Spoke with the owner of my LHS and he said Tamiya will bring some more SS out later in the year and the old 3 spd will be re-release again but the earliest will be a year or two from now. The first part very likely, the second part will just have to wait and see. So far, Tamiya has been keeping us happy with the re-releases.
