M03 - ABC Hobby CRX

Recommended Posts

replacing the battered old mini body, and was wondering has anyone fit an ABC Hobby CRX to the M03 chassis.

ABC's site it does not fit, but that is also what they said about the Sunny Coupe, and that fit fine... Just wondering before I spend the coin.

Hi mate...

According to the gurus over at rc-mini.net (link here), the CRX body fits, but "sits high". They would be the guys to have tried it.....

Yep, a friend tried it and it sat too high if you cut it to the lines. Leaving on a bit of the excess plastic helps a bit. You could heat the bonnet/windscreen area or cut it out to mount it lower though.

Isn't it possible to mount the servo to the main part of the chassis and remove the framework on top which it mounts to? It could win you the space needed to place the body at the right height?

The front shock mounts are quite high on the M03 - it would probably fit the M01/02 chassis a treat though...
