I have a new chassis for both cars here in front of me and the differences are actually quite big.

First off theres the obvious front body mount that always breaks on the Pajero.

Then there are 2 clips in the front steering area that are'nt on the lunchbox chassis. Plus a couple of what look like screw holes.

Front shock mount are completely different

The switch mounts are in different places.

The rear body mount holes ( where the adaptor mounts into the chassis ) are in completely different places.

The mounts for what must be the rear shocks are completely different.

Basically there is no way you could use the chassis from the Pajero on the Lunchbox/Pumpkin or vice versa.

I can't put pictures in the forums but if you really need them I can e-mail them to you directly.

Hi, sorry to resurrect this old topic but I have a question in the same subject and saw no point in openning a new one.

I recently won an ebay auction that contained a lowered midnight pumpkin chassis and a pajero (58044) body (haven't received it yet) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

I'm interested in this poorman's pajero concept so I was wondering whether the original pajero and the midnight pumpkin chassis have the same wheelbase (without the midnight pumpkin's extended gear box mount). The two chassis look so similar that I suspect tamiya took the pajero chassis mold and modified it to create the midnight pumpkin chassis. Obviously the front body mount does not exist but so doesn't the front bumper of the body, so I'll have to drill holes in the body anyway. My main concern is that the wheelbase would fit, otherwise the whole project would look funny. I intend to drill the chassis to mount the battery pack lower like Wild-o-boa did http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...id=8795&id=1163

So I'll have a nice stable runner with the beautiful pajero body
