Was anyone watching this on ebay

Just wondered what people thought. I was surprised it did not sell - reserve not met, personally if I had about £300 I would have gone for it but unfortunately it was not to be.

I know its a bit specialist but was there any interest from this group?

Its the same one as the link you gave its just tidied up (without nerf bars) and solid billited alloy wheels and alloy nudge bar added .

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I beleive CRP made 2 of these chassis, a short version and a stock. Which version is this chassis?

Hey Will16,

I believe the short wheel base version replicated the original wheel base but I don't know how long it is. The long wheel base version (CRP/RCH Chassis) is 252mm from front to back. This increases the wheel base by about 10mm. Longer wheel base more stable less steering. To counter this they also offer wider front and rear ends.

I was watching this as well. this one is restored nicely and worth a lot more, but it does share a lot of the same parts that I have on my chassis.

I don't want to part that chassis right now but might have another set in storage. Pardon my delay in posting cars to my showroom, swapping parts, etc... I'm in the sloooow process of moving into a new home and most of my goodies are in storage right now. I'll be back up and running soon and you can all see why I'm such a Volkswagen pervert! Whatever srb spares I have will be up for sale/trade then!

to add further confusion... my chassis features many items coated in black. The ebay chassis featured here has black trailing arms in front and rear. I've also seen some items coated black like this in vintage pics. Was CRP or someone selling parts or whole chassis with blacked out parts?

The nylon rch arms are normally sold White but can easily be dyed. You often see them orange and black. For me I want White :-) only.

Not sure if any manufacturers actually dyed them for sale - possibly.

Pretty bad when you can't sleep at night because of parts ,I think you have a problem have you though of the 12 step program ?.

I understand mate even though you know its a lost cause you are too deep into it to stop , If you tried explaining it to the wife and the words came out right she would still think you were certifiable

I sympathise with you
