I don't normally listen to any particular music when wrenching, but for one day a year for the last two years now, I have been able to sit down and indulge in a Tamiya build, while watching an endurance car race we have in Australia called The Bathurst 1000. It makes for a really pleasurable day :)

Sounds like a plan, wonder if I can hold off on my Avante build until this years race

Good choice!

I've also found that I really like some of the Hogarth era, especially marbles and afraid of sunlight. Check it out sometime.

Also like Fish solo work.

I have a ton of music and what I listen too is very random. Could be Marillion, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Eurythmics, Zappa, Mozart, Beethoven, Van Der Graaf, King Crimson, Ultravox, Springsteen, A-ha. (OK, I do like prog) Right now I have Vangelis on.

Often times I have reruns of the mythbusters on in the background when building. I like the show, but once I've seen an episode I don't have the attention to re-watch it without doing something.

Oh man, I havn't listen to Ultravox in ages!

WHen I hear the song Vienna it reminds my of building a Tamiya 1/24 Supra model kit. Probably because I listen to that song over and over while I was building it. :)

I think tonight, while i'm work on the Scorcher, i'll dig up some old Ian Brown, Mr. Scruff, Kero 1, DJ Food, or Clutchy Hopkins.

LMAO :D The last one sounds like my wife but for it to be her, it would have to be written it in all caps.

I listen to everything between Lily Allen and 250 bpm hardcore techno but usually avoid the stereo while working on kits or at least building them for maximum concentration as I tend to triple check everything.

If I'm just building/rebuilding/maintaining something, I usually work in front of the TV. I tinker with a car, my wife makes jewelry or sews, and we watch a movie or TV show from Netflix together. It works out well.

If I'm out in the workshop doing something that involves power tools or paint, I don't listen to or watch anything, because I find it better to concentrate on what I'm doing.
