:D Finished the hornet up that i got last night in the mail... I swear the body was the hardest thing that took the longest!!! Good old tamiya still makes you work hard to build your model just like the old days i remember cutting all those stickers out!!

Brings a BIG smile on my face it's just like the one i had when i was small! :D

I am in love all over again!!

I think i want to get a runner body and make this one my display version when the hornet is on the shelf.

Enjoy comments welcome.... I did do 100% like the box art.

lol you are a fast builder and painter!

Looks awesome. Box art fits it so well, I think.

I see ball bearings on the front wheels. Did you use ball bearings everywhere?

Stock motor or Sport Tuned?

I'll build mine someday.

Thanks guy's!

It has full ball bearings all else is stock I have to say the stock 540 seems plenty fast for the hornet...I remembered it being fast as a kid...and thought it was because i was small but it actully is pretty quick for what it is!

It is pretty awesome to build these and remember what it was like to build them many years ago...

You did a great job, and the "high" of a new build car never goes away..... thus many of us have tons of cars. Hahaha....

Cheers,

Thanks Guy's!!

I love the hornet!!

My Red holiday buggy came in today but i probably won't start it for a little while .... any weak spots on that holiday buggy body?

Looks great...

Weak spots on the HB body? Front wings & the roof.. Don't crash a HB at speed. The body isn't strong.

Do you mean the front fenders? and the roof ware does it break could i reinforce it with goop glue?

I just ordered a tamiya 540 J motor will these cause major damage to the body at the speed it will go?

THANKS

Yes, the front fenders and the white roof panel (if it lands on it).

I also use a 540.....

Yea my roof got a hair crack in it just from pushing on it to push the body on.

anything you can do to make these areas stronger?

maybe put another thin layer of styrine plastic sheet under the roof with that model solvent that bonds plastics together?
