dsc01034xz.jpg

rear lower sus mount is a bit thick :P shame you can't use it for a long wheelbase set up and would be even cooler if it was steal would spark then :P thats it for now,it is running but only for testing untill i get more parts.

dsc01080va.jpg

dsc01090v.jpg

can't use the CF shock tower with it ;)

dsc01091j.jpg

ok fixed the shock problem ( yes they are little harder but i've gone to yellow springs not blue in the front so it drives the same )

dsc01092p.jpg

now the side skits hit the ground before it even tucks rim

As I said - go girl!!! nice pink colors girl!!!! you go!!!!

No true man uses pink as the prime color.

Otherwise, nice job!

Looks great. For a minute, I thought Tamiya was selling pre built ball diffs now

Same here!

Nice pics of the build. What do you think of the Protoform shell in real life? It always looks a bit odd in pictures.

So, what's that VW body? I saw protoform, but that's it.

I had a M03-L about four years ago, and it was a hoot and a really fun basher. I looked up the M05 series a few months ago, and Tamiya's FWD cars have come a long way. I had to buy some M05 gearbox joints for my TA02, b/c I updated it for a BL system (TT-01 bevel gears added, so that the slotted parts could fit.)

Please post pics of the finished work - and hopefully a video to boot, to see that little devil in action!

Its a protoform SoCal panel wagon i just added VW stickers.Yeah i've been watching your TA02 build on MRC,video soon once the car is fully built and once the race season starts again.

Sorry i missed your reply, thanks you.I like it,its a bit wide and the nose a quite thin, the only thing i don't like are the head lights,i think it would look allot better with 100% round fenders the sunk in head lights look odd.

Have you ever thought of using 2 liter coca cola plastic caps? Cut the cap along the side to angle it, and sand it to fit, then spray a metallic silver inside the cap. Drill a hole for the LED. Use Shoe Goo, or some sort of synthetic rubber cement - (don't use CA glue, as it is too brittle on polycarb bodies).

The cap tops on 2 liter soda bottles should be your best bet to make headlights.

BTW - did I mention how cool that pink is? Manly man - (drapes a cape on his shoulders - Lookit me! I'm the Brawny man, with a pink flannel shirt!!!)

Nice so far hoss - please post a video of that M05 in action!!!

I will try that on my next SoCal wagon then but not a racer one, don't want useless grams in the car. Thanks,it gets way brighter in sun light ( new pics soon ) and video as soon as i get the cat 100% race ready and find someone to film for me and find a day when no one it racing.

Looks good!

Pink is a mans colour. It was a popular masculine colour for clothes. The shift of pink being a girls colour only happened with commercialisation of childrens toys and the enforcement of Pink being a girls colour.

Real men wear pink, puppets dont.

Have you raced the car yet?

Posted

Thank you,lol really i only have the pink so its easy for my eyes to see since i'm short sighted and don't have glassed,i'm going to the track some time today,i haven't driven on it for 2 years so the first few laps will be interesting.

Man, that is some nice blue bling :( I wanted to buy some Tamiya florescent pink PS spray for one of my projects, but couldn't find any in stock here in the USA. I had to settle with a cherry red color, which looks sort of pink when it's backed up with white. I was good enough for what I was doing though.

Is that the same florescent pink?

You can see the pinkish cherry red in one of my other build threads, here: my Exotek TA05 ver.II R build thread

Sorry to be off-topic, but I just wanted to know that I was just pushing your buttons on the pink thing ;)

Thanks, yeah its PS-29,theres tons in hobby shops here in Australia, nice build on your ver.II,a little bit but i get it at the track anyway.
