WillyChang 1814 Posted October 22, 2011 In this link, the guy talks about using a different current Tamiya front spring that is the exact same color as the Egress (slightly thicker w/ more coils). Only problem is he never gives the flippin part number. Maybe I'm just missing it or something? or they may not HAVE a flippin part code unique to it itself looks suspiciously like a touring car spring in length, girty & approx 6-7 coils some tamiya kits circa TA04 did come with a goldish spring which never appeared as any sparepart or optionpart (tuned springs are painted red, yellow, blue, white etc) dunno if the gold was plated or anodised, it had a matte brushed look to it when raw but they can buff to a decent shine without losing too much of their gold tone
Tamiya Era 778 Posted October 22, 2011 Thats great and rare now days,,, i would prefer to keep it white....

94eg! 834 Posted October 24, 2011 You can still get all the titanium phillips head screws in separate 10 packs. They are usually pretty inexpensive too. The sets sold in 5-packs are the newer hex-head screws. The only ones you cannot get are the step screws I mentioned earlier.
Wez-li 1790 Posted October 24, 2011 Quick update. C3 parts arrived courtesy of Percymon You can see from this pic why they needed replacing! 94eg! 834 Posted October 24, 2011 Quick update.C3 parts arrived courtesy of Percymon You can see from this pic why they needed replacing! Not sure which ones I need yet, but defo a few step screws missing OUCH! That is what happens when a rear dog-bone slips out. At least that's what happened to my C3 part when I used shocks that were too long in the back on my Vanquish. The dog-bone got wedged on the inside wheel the first time I made a hard turn... DOH! Dang Kyosho gold shocks. Good thing those C-parts aren't $90 a set any more... As for the step screws, you can still make due with some black steel ones from the Avante of course.
